Achieving Chi Wellness

What is "Chi"?  The formal definition of Chi, (Qi or Ki) is “the energy of life itself, a balance of Yin and Yang, positive and negative, electromagnetic energy which flows through everything in creation”.  As such, humans are made up of Chi Energy and our Chi may become imbalanced causing physical and mental issues such as tiredness, irritability, and depression to name a few. Imbalanced Chi can be caused by stressors and a lack of human connection. In these unprecedented times of social distancing, its no surprise that our Chi may need balancing.

But how do we balance our Chi? First, we must understand the relationship between Chi and our Chakras. There are seven main Chakras in the human body and they each act as a spinning wheel that keep our Chi energy flowing smoothly throughout our body. If one or more Chakra are blocked our energy can’t flow and thus causes an imbalance. If you ever feel “off -center” and not your best self, it is possible that your Chi is imbalanced and needs tending to.  Some widely used techniques to balance your Chi is daily Meditation, Yoga, and Reiki which is the ancient practice of Chakra alignment through the use of touch.  All of these techniques can help you to center yourself, come in closer contact with your metaphysical self, and achieve balance.
