A Virtual Mother's Day Tea Party?

Updated: Jun 22, 2020

written by annamarie garcia

Yes it can be done! Host a virtual Tea Party with your one and only Mom this Mother’s Day…

Have you heard of the Houseparty App?  It’s a face-to-face social network that connects you instantly to your friends and family in a video call with the added element of interactive games like Trivia and a Pictionary-style drawing game. Technology evolves so quickly these days, Houseparty lets you do away with meeting codes and passwords, and gets you talking to your peeps in the most convenient way, making it a perfect “location” to host your virtual Mother’s Day Tea.

Arrange the event by inviting your guests to download the app (if they haven’t already done so). Set the dress code… ie. Big hats and Spring dresses, and share your recommended menu for the event. Tea Sandwiches can easily be made using all kinds of house-staple ingredients like, Cucumber and Cream Cheese, Turkey and Brie, Chicken or Egg Salad.  But what is a Tea Party without sweets? Be sure to include a few recommendations that check the dessert box, like scones, popovers, cookies or mini muffins.

Now you may be wondering what goes in the tea cups? Well Rose’ of course! Check out our recommendations on a Sparking Rose', a Flat Rose', and a refreshing Frose’ Recipe for your virtual Mother’s Day Tea Party below.  Be sure to tag us on social when you share photos of your event! @AlliedBeverageNJ #VirtualMothersDayTea
