Vice President of Purchasing & Pricing
David Koskinen is Vice President of Allied Beverage Group, New Jersey’s premier distributor of Wine and Spirits and one of the top 10 distribution companies in the United States. Dave is the Head of the Purchasing and Pricing Departments and leads a team of 18 employees, responsible for managing the inventory, procurement, product maintenance, and pricing for $1.2 billion of sales, over 500 Suppliers, and 14,000 product codes. He reports to Aaron Silverman.
Dave’s over 30 years in business has been dedicated to the beverage alcohol industry. Dave began his career in 1988 at Bartolomeo Pio Wines and Spirits (Gallo Broker) in the control state of Pennsylvania. He then transitioned to the Supplier side in 1995 when he joined Bacardi USA and managed Southern NJ and Delaware. In 2000, Bacardi promoted and relocated Dave to Northern NJ where he was responsible for pricing, programming, gross profit analysis, sales forecasting, and state shipments at the top four distributors.
In 2003, Dave joined the marketing team at Allied Beverage Group, LLC as Brand Development Manager, managing supplier business for Bacardi USA, Brown-Forman, and Patron. In 2007, Dave was appointed Director of Purchasing and was promoted to Vice President in 2014. In 2020, Dave evaluated procurement software, chose and launched the BlueRidge tool. In 2021, he added the responsibility of leading our seven employees in the Pricing Department. His talents have led to significant performance in each department.
Dave’s management style utilizes team building and competitive experiences gained from playing Division 1 basketball at Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA. In High School, Dave earned the Markward Scholar Athlete Award for the Philadelphia Catholic League. At Saint Francis, he was honored to captain the team for his Junior and Senior years and received the Turano Award presented to the outstanding senior male student athlete.
Dave lives in Northern New Jersey with his wife Luanne, and their three sons.
