Vice President of
Supply Chain and Quality Control
Aaron Silverman is Vice President of Supply Chain and Quality Control with Allied Beverage Group, New Jersey’s premier distributor of wine and spirits and one of the top 10 distribution companies in the US. Aaron oversees procurement, inbound logistics, and pricing. He also works with all functional areas to continually optimize business processes to improve service and efficiency.
Aaron joined Allied Beverage Group in 2016 and has held positions in marketing, purchasing, and operations. When Allied merged with Breakthru Beverage Group in 2017, Aaron was part of the leadership team that developed new policies, procedures, and technology solutions to facilitate the integration of the two businesses. In addition, he orchestrated the movement of inventory from Allied and Breakthru’s five facilities into the company’s new distribution center in Elizabeth in 2019. Aaron also oversaw the company’s $8 million investment in rooftop solar, which offsets the entire facility’s electricity requirements. In 2020, he led the implementation of new procurement software and ways of working in the purchasing department.
Aaron began his career as a management consultant with Bain & Company and went on to hold various sales and project development positions in the clean-tech industry, specializing in wind and solar energy. From 2009 to 2014, he worked in utility scale wind project development and M&A with Gamesa Energy, where he led cross-functional transaction teams and played an instrumental role in the development, construction, and sale of over $1 billion of wind projects. In 2014, Aaron joined Borrego Solar, where he developed commercial solar installations for business and public sector institutions.
Before launching his career, he spent summers in high school and college working at the Jaydor Corporation, one of the predecessor companies to Allied Beverage Group, which was founded by the Silverman Family in 1933. Aaron is the third generation of his family to join the business.
Aaron earned his BA in Psychology from Yale University and subsequently attended Yale School of Management, where he earned his MBA. He lives in New Jersey with his wife Mandi and their two daughters.
